Silence, palms, Parliament pack

Her hair was moving at the rhythm
of the wind, whispering in the palms,
while she took a cigarette out of her Parliament pack.
She lighted it and then silence.
There was a silence in her eyes,
that the moon mirrored back
to me.
We were on the hills,
it was midnight,
sweet california,
quiet night.
